Lacrosse is a team sport that is mainly played in North America, but has still not gained much popularity. The origins of this game can be traced back to 1100 AD, and it was mainly played by indigenous people of the continent. It became more established in the seventeenth century, and Jesuit missionary priests had documented the game being played somewhere in Canada. However, the game has undergone several changes since then.

Presently Lacrosse is played with a small rubber ball and a lacrosse stick, which has a loose mesh at one end for holding and catching the ball. The objective of the game is to shoot the ball into the goal of the opponent. The ball can only be carried, passed, and caught with the lacrosse stick, and the other team will try to stop the ball from being shot into their goal by positioning, body contact, and stick checking. In the field, players take four major positions, which are the goalie, defense, attack, and midfield. Lacrosse has four main types that include Intercrosse, Box Lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and men's field lacrosse.
